Dan O'Neill hails from from Bilerico's own Bloomington, Indiana, where he spent much of his youth and college and graduate careers. He was brought to DC in spring 2006 by Congress' big stem cell research debate and liked this fair city so much that he decided to stay for a while.
Dan received his MBA in Biotech Enterprise, Bachelors of Science in Biology, and a minor in Modern Dance from Indiana University and is presently pursing a joint MD-MPH degree at George Washington University's medical school and school of public health. Dan is involved in a number of GLBT-affiliated organizations in the DC community, as a dancer for the DC Cowboys, a member of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, and chair of the Gay/Bi/Trans HIV Prevention Working Group at the DC Center. He has also been appointed to the DC HIV Prevention Community Planning Group. His contributions to Bilerico will deal primarily with GLBT health-related issues.
