There's more than a little LGBT related news in the DC metro area. Here's a quick round up of some stories I thought you'd be interested in:
- The White House held a community forum on HIV/AIDS in D.C. D.C. has the highest per capita HIV rates of any U.S. city. Big question at the forum: where's D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty?
- Sgt. Brett Parson left the police department's Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit to be street patrol supervisor with the Sixth Police District. The move was at Sgt. Parson's request, but it raises even more alarms for activists already concerned about the weakening of the unit.
- A Maryland gay couple is featured in Washington Post's On Love section.
